Born in Chicago, Joe has been shooting pictures since his days at LEO High School in the late '50s. He started with a little 35mm Bolsey, then bought himself a Pentax while in college. After graduating, Joe wrote ad copy Monday through Friday and shot weddings on weekends.
As a newlywed he purchased a Pentax SP-500, which he still uses, keeping it in his car to catch “spur of the moment” photo ops. But when there's no rush, he enjoys careful composition and tight control. Joe now resides in Madison , Wisconsin, with his wife Mary. He shoots a remarkable variety of subjects – from scenic vistas to tabletop setups. In his words, “mixing it up is what makes shooting fun!”
